VOLUNTEERS
The Kids' Exchange is a volunteer-run event. You do not have to be a consignor to volunteer—anyone can sign up to help us out. All volunteers who work a 2-hr shift receive a presale pass that allows them to begin shopping at 8 a.m. for the best items before the sale is open to the general public. Work 2 shifts, receive 2 passes—one for you and one for a friend!
We have many opportunities for you to participate before and during the sale. You can:
- Set up the sales floor.
- At drop-off, assist consignors checking in and placing items on the sales floor.
- Work with us at the sale. Be part of the excitement! We need you to work the checkout, work the sales floor, assist customers and organize the merchandise. This is where we need your help the most!
- Help us sort items and prepare them for consignor and charity pickup at the end of the sale.
All volunteers spots fill quickly, but several shifts usually open in the few days preceding the sale as volunteers may cancel at the last minute. CHECK THE WEBSITE FREQUENTLY to see if there are new shift openings.
For dates and times of job shifts, click on our link below. Sign up is online. We’ll contact you with all the information you will need to know about your job. You can always cancel or choose a different shift through the website.
If you signed up but find that you cannot volunteer, please remember to unregister yourself from your shift or call us. Volunteers who sign up but don't show up hurt our event. Your absence makes a huge impact and we will need to fill your shift!

Volunteers are not permitted to bring children to their shift at The Dome. With the hustle and bustle of the event, you will not be able to keep an eye on them. Let’s keep them safe! Thank you for your understanding.
